Jonathan Miller, age 26, was charged with two counts of third-degree computer crimes and released on an order to appear, Meriden Police said.

Miller worked for the Meriden dispatch center from July 2023 until July 2024 when he was fired for a separate matter. Shortly after his dismissal, investigators learned he had told a friend that he'd used the system to look up information on an acquaintance, police said.

The investigation that followed showed that he'd used the system, which is only allowed for official police matters, to look up the address of a victim twice, authorities said.

Miller spoke with detectives and admitted to using the system for personal matters and that he knew what he did was wrong, police said.

He turned himself in police without issue following his indictment.

It is important to note that Miller did not work for the Meriden Police Department. The Meriden communication center employed him.
